Cat Faces on Fused Glass Coasters. Meow!

I'm loving all the different ways my cat faces cat be fused into glass. Here are some coasters I've made that people are really enjoying.

Each coaster is about 3-1/4" square, made of two layers of glass plus the cat face.

Whimsical and fun, each one is completely unique. They would make great wall tiles, too, for the cat lover or cat hospital or cat rescue entryway . . .

Put a Bird on It! (Glass Sculpture, that is)

We love the cable TV show "Portlandia"--probably because we live just up the freeway a few hours and can relate to the nuttiness presented in this fun show about Portland, OR. (If you haven't seen it, check it out on OnDemand.)

When Wendy created her tree sculpture (see photos), we knew it was calling out for a bird. So we "Put a Bird on It," and voila! Fun and whimsical.

See this item on our etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/38561535/put-a-bird-on-it-fused-glass-sculpture
The little yellow bird was tack-fused onto the tree for depth and fun.
Three pieces of Dichroic glass add an elegant touch.

Wendy's Trees -- Whimsical Glass Sculptures

Wendy loves to draw trees. I don't know why, but there it is. She especially loves to paint her trees onto glass and then do funky things to the glass, thus creating one-of-a-kind sculptures. Here are a couple.

In this sculpture, Wendy included metal foil and copper wire fused between layers of glass, dichroic glass accents, and sculptural etching on the back. Pretty unusual, I'd say. (It sold right away.)
This tree is even more whimsical, with its blue, yellow, orange, and red glass frit curving around the tree. This is Wendy's most popular interpretation of the tree. Each time she makes one (they are all different, of course), they sell.

Love them trees!

And Now For Cat Lovers -- Cat Pendants in Fused Glass

Sleeping cats, yawning cats, stretching cats, cute kittens with big eyes . . . all of these and more cats! on fused glass pendants.

I'm making a variety of colors and a variety of cat images, fully fusing the images into glass so they are permanent. Each pendant is about 1" with a silver-filled bail on the back and an 18" black linen cord attached.

Dogs Are Running Amok on My New Dog Pendants

I'm excited to present my newest Ode to Dogs--fused glass pendants. I've got serious dogs and goofy dogs, little dogs and big dogs, on just about every color imaginable.

Each pendant is made of at least two layers of glass, fully fused. Then I fuse a dog image into the glass at a lower temperature with images I've created on special fusible paper. A silver bail is affixed to the back, a black linen cord is strung on, and voila!

Sometimes I Go Mosaic-Crazy!

I've always loved mosaics, from the floors of ancient Pompeii to the walls of Seattle's bus tunnel. I used to create mosaics from broken plates. Now, I create them in fused glass. This is much better--no grouting! Enjoy.

Crow Art: Fused Glass Paintings of Crows and Ravens

It's been a long time since I've added to my blog, and that's just a big ol' shame. Wendy and I have been creating lots of new fused glass art, and I want to share it ALL. But let's just start with crows.

This is one of my favorite images. I painted the crow onto golden yellow glass and fused it in so the paint becomes one with the glass. Then I tack-fused black glass behind it and added my signature in 22 kt gold. A white mat and black wood frame complete the piece.

I have lots of different crow and raven images I'm fusing into glass, and anyone can order one in the size and color they like. Here are the pieces on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/OmegaArtDesign?section_id=7584326

And here are more on our webpage: http://98.130.125.31/subpage4.html
